He travelled through the great civilizations of the world, and could find no answer. He travelled to the last remnants of ancient civilizations, and found no answer. He spoke with the Pope, who could not help him. He spoke with the Dalai Lama, who had no answer. He spoke with many, many Jehovah's Witnesses, who had no answers. One day, he heard about a wise old man living on a mountain top, deep in the recesses of the Hindu Kush. He immediately flew to India, and made his way from there, through Tibet, to the mountain where the holy man lived. Walking through snow and ice, he scaled the mountain. And there was a little old man, calmly sitting at the peak. He prostrated himself before the old man, who bade him get up. "And how," the old man asked, "may I help you, my son?" "O wise one," said the young man,"I have heard that you possess the secret of immortality. It is that secret I have come to ask you to share with me." "Hmmm." said the old man. "Well, let's see." "You must give up smoking, all manner of liquors, and the pursuit of wild women." "That's all I have to do? And I will live forever?" asked the young man, amazed. "No," replied the old man. "But it will sure feel like it..."
